CIRCULATORY SYSTEM PROJECT

Our Heart is Vital for Life
The circulatory system ensures the proper functioning of our body. The heart pumps blood
throughout the body, delivering oxygen and nutrients to the cells.
This project is designed to demonstrate how the heart functions and how blood circulates
through the body.

Project Objectives
Learn the function of the heart
Distinguish between oxygenated and deoxygenated blood
Demonstrate the circulation of blood between the heart and lungs
Materials Used in the Project
Heart and circulatory system model
Tubing
Syringes
Red and blue colored liquids

Project Description
Blue liquid represents deoxygenated blood
Red liquid represents oxygenated blood
Deoxygenated blood enters the right side of the heart and is pumped to the lungs. After
receiving oxygen in the lungs, blood returns to the left side of the heart and is distributed
throughout the body. The syringes simulate the contraction and relaxation of the heart
muscle.

Conclusion
The circulatory system is essential for life.
By protecting our heart, we can maintain a healthy life.
Understanding how the heart works and its functions is crucial for cardiovascular health.
