AUTOMATIC PLANT WATERING SYSTEM
Technology and Nature Hand in Hand
Plants need regular water to grow healthily. However, it can sometimes be difficult to water
plants on time due to busyness or forgetfulness. The automatic plant watering system was
developed as a solution to this problem.
Purpose of the System
The purpose of this system is to ensure that plants are watered exactly when they need it. It
functions only when necessary by checking the moisture status of the soil. In this way, plants
receive neither too much nor too little water.
Material Used in the Project
Water Tank: The container where the water is stored.
Water Pump: Transfers water from the tank to the plant.
Hose: Enables the water to reach the soil.
Battery: Provides energy to the system.
Moisture Sensor: Detects whether the soil is dry or wet.
Relay Board: Controls the operation of the motor.
Wooden Platform: Ensures all parts are placed in an organized manner.
How Does the System Work?
The moisture sensor checks the soil. When the soil is dry, the relay is activated and the water
pump starts working. The pump delivers water from the tank to the plant's soil using the hose.
Once the soil is sufficiently moistened, the system stops.
Benefits of the System
Plants are watered regularly, grow healthier, water reservation is achieved. It makes people’s
work easier and contributes to nature.
Where Can It Be Used?
This system can be easily used in homes, schools, gardens, and greenhouses.
Conclusion
The automatic plant watering system is a useful and practical project where technology
assists
nature. It both protects the health of plants and ensures the conscious use of water.
