Future Perspectives and the AGI Debate
Expectations for the next decade point toward the increasing sophistication of Narrow AI
systems. At the same time, the concept of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), which refers to
systems possessing human-like general cognitive abilities, remains at the center of academic and
philosophical discussions. The realization of AGI could redefine many areas of life, including
education, employment, ethics, and daily routines.
This potential transformation raises not only questions about what artificial intelligence can do,
but also about how it will relate to humanity. In the future, AI should be positioned not as a
competitor that replaces humans, but as a cognitive partner that complements human capabilities.
Conscious Use of Artificial Intelligence and Its Impact on Children
The conscious and supervised use of artificial intelligence technologies is of particular
importance, especially for children and young people. Individuals who interact with AI-based
applications at an early age should be raised not merely as passive consumers of technology, but
as users who can question, think critically, and operate within ethical boundaries.
In children’s interaction with artificial intelligence, special emphasis should be placed on data
privacy, balanced screen time, access to accurate information, and the awareness that AI-
generated content does not always represent absolute truth. In this process, the guidance of
families and educational institutions plays a crucial role; children should be clearly taught how
artificial intelligence works, for what purposes it is used, and in which situations caution is
required.
A conscious use approach reduces the potential risks of artificial intelligence while enabling its
educational and productive aspects to develop in a safe and responsible manner.
Conclusion
Artificial intelligence represents one of the most influential technological transformations in
human history, with a development trajectory extending from the past to the present. Considering
both the opportunities it offers and the risks it entails, the future of AI will be shaped not merely
by technical progress, but by how humanity chooses to govern and guide it.
Therefore, in the age of artificial intelligence, the central issue is not the creation of more
powerful machines, but the development of a more conscious, ethical, and human-centered
understanding of technology.
